Ballcourt

This piece demonstrates a rich tonal play that stems from the artist's use of natural dyes and wools. The tan sections have been colored with leadwort and pecan shells, while the striations along the edges demonstrate the natural tonal variation of undyed sheep's wool.

Designed, woven, and dyed by Wenceslao Martinez.

Hand Spun Oaxacan Churro wool, dyed with: wild leadwort, cochineal, aniline, with natural cream, grey, and black.
